everyone for feeling scared by these pictures. I do want to say thanks to all the nice things everyone said and also thanks for all the concerns. I don't blame everyone for the comments against this method but believe me, I would not do this if I didn't feel it was safe. If everyone could see this in person and try to move the car you would see that it's as solid as a rock. This is actually a common method in Army field manuals. Because three blocks are used it's unable to rock or sway. Even the manuals tell you not to use more than three blocks. Another thing is that because the wood is treated it sticks together under pressure. If you can pull an engine this way it must tell you something about the sturdyness. But like everyone said, jackstands are considered the safest thing to use and I don't disagree with that. Also, Army field manuals are created for methods to be used when other options are unavailable. Although I have plenty of jackstands and use them frequently I actually felt safer using the blocks. I knew I would get flamed if I post this instead of emailing Kenny the pictures, but thats no problem, I guess I'm just a risk taker, lol, J/K.
